Iain Falconer

Education: Madras College St Andrews, Scotland

Further Education: Leyland Vehicle Graduate Engineer post HND Marine Engineering from Glasgow Nautical College, and Newcastle University in Automotive Engineering Chassis Engineering from the same institution.

Mr Falconer has considerable experience in General Management, Sales & Marketing, Financial Controls, and organisational structures. Plus, core automotive skills in international manufacturing, distribution, and retailing. These derive from a series of senior management positions world-wide with Mitsubishi Motors Japan in the Middle East, Papua New Guinea, Europe and the UK and close Europe with Citroën UK which gave him international experience in world markets with multi-national companies.

Starting a vehicle manufacturing company in the UK in the 90’s building holiday hire vehicle and working with the European Commission to relocate the company overseas. He subsequently worked as a consultant with the European Commission’s African Caribbean & Pacific/EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly (ACP/EU JPA) internationally as an automotive and engineering consultant completing feasibility studies for his own company and many others. Travel was extensive throughout the ACP.

He was also MD of The Minford Consortium Ltd, a luxury Motor Home Manufacturer and Commercial Vehicle Body Builder in Wales before taking the management of Sokon Automotive, a Chinese vehicle importer and distributor for 2 years.
