Charles McCarthy

Education: Penilee Secondary School, Glasgow Scotland, he has a BSc from Glasgow University and an MA from LJMU.

Charles spent his career teaching STEM subjects in Kenya and England. Physics and Maths are the foundations of a successful move to a zero-carbon economy. He now writes about the Climate Crisis, our response to it and the transition to a carbon free future.

‘’Climate Change and how we respond to it, is the biggest challenge facing our economy and society at the present time. I am convinced that from this crisis new opportunities and collaborations will emerge to transform the world we live in. We need to move rapidly to a zero-carbon economy. We owe it to ourselves and those who will come after us.’’

His leisure interests include hill walking and cycling, especially in the Scottish Highlands.
